PREMIERE: Conor Scott shares lyric video for new single 'Life Now'
The single is the title track from his recently released EP.
Coming back from a three year hiatus, Belfast-native Conor Scott is sharing a new lyric video for the title track of his EP, Life Now.
Fresh from forging a music career in London, with a Mahogany Session under his belt, Scott has returned to Irish shores due to the Coronavirus lockdown. Last year, the enigmatic artist gave a rousing Hot Press Lockdown Sessions performance and shared a lockdown-created video for 'Overthinking'. The clip features a few familiar faces, including Moncrieff, Travi The Native, Larks and Blue Americans.
‘Life Now’ displays Scott's distinctive vocal range, beautifully toeing the line between indie folk and alternative rock. “This is the first song I’ve written that is mainly stemming from an objective view of the world, and not so much based on relationships," Scott explains about the track. "I wrote it right in the middle of the first lockdown, so it was hard not to look at all the things that were happening. That said, I didn't want to have something totally doom-and-gloom, and I think you can take quite a few positive affirmations, like hope, out of the song as well.”
