Picturehouse announce new album release this summer
Titled How Can I Explain How This Came To Be? the new album is named after the first line of Picturehouse's 1996 debut single 'Somebody Somewhere'.
The album will bring listeners back to the late '90s, with a compilation of the band's favourite tracks from their first two albums Shine Box and Karmarama.
"It would have been easy to only include the big singles as some sort of 'best of' compilation," says Picturehouse frontman Dave Browne. "But we wanted to focus purely on the time around our first two albums, and some of the songs that today people still come up to us and tell us were the soundtracks to their lives at that time."
A remastered, re-released version of the band's hit song 'Sunburst' has already been released. The album will feature live versions of 'Fear of Flying', 'You and I', 'Raining Stones', 'Jade', and 'Somebody Somewhere', as well as some previously unheard tracks.
How Can I Explain How This Came To Be? is due for release on August 25, with an album launch show at Dublin's National Concert Hall on September 13.
