Philip Lynott like you've never seen him before
The new issue of Hot Press has a cover to treasure.
Last weekend we asked for your help in putting together a unique tribute to a unique spirit. Creating the ultimate image of Philip Parris Lynott was never going to be easy, that's why we needed your help to create this very special Hot Press cover.
"Exactly 4,875 photos make up this image of Phil," HP design whiz Andrew Duffy says. "We used shots from our extensive Thin Lizzy archive, but what really makes this image unique are the pictures of Philip's fans from all over the world."
The striking mosaic includes snaps of some of the thousands of Lizzy devotees who passed through Still In Love With You: The Philip Lynott Exhibition in St. Stephen's Green Shopping Centre and some who attended signings of My Boy, the touching biography penned by Philip's mother Philomena. Together, these shots take the unmistakable form of Ireland's most iconic rock star.
The new issue, which also features a look back at the extraordinary journey that saw the creation of The Philip Lynott Exhibition, is on shelves now.
