Paul Noonan and Brian Crosby launch new project 'Pilgrims'

Bell X1's Paul Noonan and composer Brian Crosby have announced they will release music under the new name 'Pilgrims'.

The pair first met back in school and worked alongside one another in Bell X1 before Crosby's departure in 2008. Noonan takes part in several different musical projects such as electronic duo HousePlants and Printer Clips. Crosby is a founding member of the band Juniper and composes scores for film and television. They've reunited with plans to take the project on the road early next year.

Their first single 'Bright and Bold' is available now. The track comes off of a full length upcoming album, to be released on January 30, 2026.

"We did some shows together last April, and played some of these new things," said Noonan. "It was there that Pilgrims was formed, in its purist form just piano and vocal. Not torch songs as such, but somewhat similar in their yearning, theatrical sentimentality."
