Watch performances from Susan O'Neill, Danny Groenland, and Clara Rose & Mick McCarney below...
Following the brilliant performances on Part One of Rooftop Lullabies Monaghan – which was shared on the Hot Press YouTube channel last week – we're thrilled to present Part Two of the live performance film.
Celebrating some of the most original talent currently making their mark on the Irish music scene, Monday's video will feature special sets from Susan O'Neill, Danny Groenland, and Clara Rose & Mick McCarney.
Each video features an eclectic selection of performances – curated and produced by SoFFt Productions – filmed across the rooftops of Monaghan town.

"Our towns, our cities, our villages; they are more than concrete," the film series' official description reads. "They are more than their roads and footpaths, their drains and chimneys. They are what make up our homes and make up our memories.
"Our musicians are what bring these places to life and bring communities together. This project provides a beautiful performance experience showcasing musical artists in unique locations, often inaccessible to the public."
Both films aim to offer access "to a space often hidden from view" – with each act performing a stripped back version of a classic song in the special setting. In the late video, you can look forward to covers of 'The Wayfaring Stranger', Marvin Gaye's 'Where Are We Going?', and "I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel to Be Free'.
Tapping into Monaghan’s association with country and blues music, each artist has selected a classic from within these expansive genres – from traditional folk songs through to '70s soul – while also putting their own unique spin on the song.

“Filmed across one of the hottest weekends in Monaghan last summer, these films hopefully capture the joy and excitement felt on the day by the whole crew," says director Shane O’Callaghan. "Monaghan’s warm welcome was certainly felt and we are grateful to each of the artists featured for these beautiful performances”
SoFFT Productions is a creative team that specialises in the most ambitious spectacles – including Music Town’s Roof Lullabies, Celestial Bodies, The Lyric Concert and RTÉ Concert Orchestra, and RTÉ Choice Music Prize awards.
The film was created with the support of the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media Local Live Performance Programming Scheme and Monaghan Arts Office.
