A host of comedians to perform at the Comedy Tent at the Mitchelstown festival on Saturday 3 + 4 August
Aside from the fantastically interesting and exciting music line-up poised to play the Cork festival, some of Ireland's most renowned comedians are appearing at the Comedy tent on the Saturday and Sunday of the event.
Colm O' Regan, the man behind 'Ireland's Got Mammies', is one of the leading attractions at the Comedy Tent. Highly descriptive and intelligent, the Cork man is one of the finest comics working in Ireland today.
The insane brilliance of David McSavage will be one of the highlights. McSavage is a highly unpredictable performer, occasionally hit-and-miss, but often on fire, the former busker-turned RTE star is not to be missed.
Fred Cooke may be more well known to the non-stand-up going public as the slightly dopey lad of the Spar ads, but he is one of the sharpest and talented comics in Dublin.
Any one who goes to the International Bar regularly will already know that Andrew Stanley is one of the finest MC's there is, a brilliantly natural and engaging comic.
Other comics appearing include Aussie charmer Damo Clark, Irish stand-up and sitcom veteran Joe Rooney.
Of the raft of up-and-coming comics set to perform, one to look out for is Edwin Sammon. A highly cerebral stand-up with a beautiful mind and an even more beautiful beard, the Offaly performer is definitely worth checking out.
