Oasis tickets sell out in two hours
Any doubts about Oasis’ ability to fill Slane were answered last week when the Gallaghers took just two hours to sell-out the 80,000-capacity gig.
"80,000 tickets snapped up, without doubt one of the fastest selling concerts I've ever witnessed... and I'm 25 years in this business," says Ticketmaster Ireland M.D. Eamonn O'Connor.
The lucky fans that got tickets will also be able to catch an earful of The Prodigy, who’ve been confirmed as the main support.
Liam Howlett & Co. have just finished recording their fifth album which, according to manager John Fairs, will be out in February 2009 and finds the boys at their punky best.
It remains to be seen whether or not Oasis’ UK tour supports, Kasabian and The Enemy, are added to the Meath bill, which will also include an Irish act.
