Nick Angel for The Music Show
He'll join Jim Sheridan and John Carney to discuss 'Where Music Meets Pictures'.
Nick Angel was the director of A&R at Island Records from 1990 to 1999 and was responsible for the signings of P.J. Harvey, Pulp, The Orb, Talvin Singh, and Apache Indian.
Since 1999, Nick has been the Music Supervisor at Working Title Films. His films include: Definitely Maybe, Atonement, The Golden Age, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, About a Boy, Love Actually, Bridget Jones Diary, Pride & Prejudice, Ali G Indahouse and Billy Elliot.
Among the Irish projects with which he's been involved are Inside I'm Dancing and Mickeybo and Me.
Also added to the 'Where Music Meets Pictures' panel is Stephen Rennicks, who wrote the music for Lenny Abrahamson's brilliant, award-winning Garage and for Adam & Paul.
Other industry experts who have been confirmed for The Music Show '09 are Noel McHale, promoter with MCD and one of the key bookers for events like Oxegen. Also on the bill is Andrew Ferris, director of the indie label Small Town America Records.
