New show ordered from Dexter showrunner
Broke will be an adaptation of a Danish drama
American cable network AMC have ordered a new series from the man behind Dexter and Nurse Jackie. Clyde Philip’s Broke will be an adaptation of Danish drama Bankerot.
Broke is about two down on their luck friends who decide to open a restaurant together. One is widower with a teenage son while the other is a chef in trouble with the mob.

“‘Broke’ is unique, edgy and sexy. I can’t wait to jump in and help it evolve into a groundbreaking bit of television,” said Phillips. Ten episodes have been ordered and are due to air in the US in 2016.
