Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts announce new LP with title track 'Second Song'
The group's follow-up to Talkin to the Trees will be released via Reprise Records on September 18.
Neil Young has announced his next Chrome Hearts album, Second Song, with the release of the 11-minute title track.
The album features seven songs in total - five new and two unreleased dating back to the 1960s.
Second Song is the second album from Young's band. The group recorded at the same location (Shangri-La Studios) and with the same producers (Lou Adler and "The Volumer Dealers").
It arrives three months after the clothing company Chrome Hearts dropped its trademark infringement claim against Young. The complaint filed last September argued that Chrome Hearts LLC had owned the rights to the name since 1991, decades before the band debuted in 2024.
In the original complaint, Chrome Hearts LLC alleged that "clothing and apparel vendors have apparently already mistakenly assumed" a link between the band and the clothing line, and were "actively promoting that purported connection." The brand requested that Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts stop using the name, to no avail.
