Neil Hannon's 'Sevastopol' for OperaShots
The groundbreaking new opera comes to London...
OperaShots, a celebration of innovative views from leading contemporary talent on the nature of opera in the 21st century, returns to the Royal Opera House and the Linbury Studio Theatre in London this month where Neil Hannon will present Sevastopol, his new opera following the exploits of young writer Leo Tolstoy's journey to the depths of the Crimean war.
OperaShots, which runs on April 20, 21, 24, 25, 27 and 28, will also see participation from acclaimed UK composer Graham Fitkin, who brings his Home performance to the stage.
