Mountains To The Sea
On paper, this might not have seemed like a sure pairing, given the gap in musical styles between the two singers, yet it’s one of the stand-out tracks on Black’s recent album Stories From The Steeples. You almost get a sense of the two singers inspiring each other and the harmonies are heart-meltingly good. Black’s voice is as pure as ever, while May adds an edge to what is an upbeat and colourful evocation of the outdoors written by Australians Shane Howard and Neil Murray.
