Mike McCormack & Eimear McBride among Goldsmiths Prize nominees
Come November one of them could be ten grand better off!
Dublin’s Tramp Press crew are justifiably proud of the fact that Mike McCormack’s Solar Bones has been nominated for the 2016 Goldsmitha Prize for new fiction, which will be doled out in central London university on November 9 and is worth a cool £10,000 to the victor.
They’re also pretty pleased at Faber & Faber with Eimear McBride’s The Lesser Bohemians also shortlisted for the award that was won last year by Kevin Barry’s Beatlebone.
They’re up against Rachael Cusk’s Transit, Deborah Levy’s Hot Milk, Sarah Ladipo Manyika’s Like A Mule Bringing Ice Cream To The Sun and Anakana Schofield’s Martin John.
