Miami 2002
Being a 'Miami' (Miami = Ibiza for trendies) comp, there’s no trance on offer - just house and prog
Is Miami the new Ibiza? So Azuli would like us to believe. In reality, it’s just selling us more havin’ it tunes that’ll appear on too many compilations over the summer. The key selling point here seems to be that they appear here first. Which doesn’t impress the compilation buying punters cos they don’t know them yet, and pisses DJs off, cos they don’t like the fact that all their choons go onto a mix CD before they get decent mileage out of them. Capiche? Anyone? Of course, being a ‘Miami’ (Miami = Ibiza for trendies) comp, there’s no trance on offer – just house and prog. True, all the big ones are here – ‘Lazy’, Wink, Minimal Funk, Kidstuff and the excellent Soldiers Of Twilight – but jaysus lads, leave us with something to call our own, will ya?
