Maxïmo Park announce Dublin and Belfast headline shows
The news comes alongside Maxïmo Park’s newest single ‘Favourite Songs.’
UK rockers Maxïmo Park have unveiled their latest single ‘Favourite Songs’ alongside the news of their upcoming UK and European tour this autumn, with stops at Dublin’s Academy and Limelight 2 in Belfast.
A solute to the potency of pop music, ‘Favourite Songs’ highlights music’s ability to provide solace during times of hardship, offering up a safe space for retreat. Propelled by shimmer synths, cascading riffs and a driving narrative, ‘Favourite Songs’ transports listeners to a place of collective joy as vocalist Paul Smith affirms that “all of our troubles will fade away.”
Maxïmo Park’s first release in over 18 months, the new track is a celebration of music and its ability to bind communities together.
“Our aim was to create a peppy yet powerful ode to the consolation of music and companionship in the face of other people's preconceptions,” Smith said of the single.
Pre-sale for Maxïmo Park’s autumn tour will begin at 10am on Wednesday 27th March, with general sales following at 10am on Thursday 28th March. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster and Maxïmo Park.
