Maria Somerville releases Luster (Remixes) EP
The three new songs round out Somerville’s latest project, following her critically acclaimed album
Irish musician Maria Somerville has released the second half of her Luster (Remixes) EP.
Somerville released her third album, Luster, her first with the record label 4AD, in April, to critical acclaim. She followed it up in November with the announcement of the Luster (Remixes) EP, and the release of the project’s first three songs: Seefeel’s ‘Stonefly’ remix, colle’s (Maya McGrory of Chanel Beads) ‘Projections’ remix, and Fatshaudi’s (aka Rachael Ryan) ‘Up’ remix.
Now, Somerville has released the EP’s final three songs: YHWH Nailgun’s ‘Violet’ remix, Asa Nisi Masa and Oscar18’s (of Haunted Mound) ‘Corrib’ remix; and Boris’ ‘October Moon’ remix.
Somerville will kick off a tour of the US, UK, Europe, and Canada with three shows in Ireland: February 11 at Kasbah in Limerick, February 12 at Róisín Dubh in Galway, and February 13 at Whelans in Dublin. On tour, she will be joined on select dates by Joanne Robertson, Milan W., Fine, and Nashpaints.
Luster and the full Luster (Remixes) EP are available now, and Somerville will be on tour throughout 2026. Somerville also hosts the Early Bird Show on NTS Radio every Monday and Tuesday morning.
