Lucy Boynton in talks to star in Marianne Faithfull film
Lucy Boynton could be the face of a forthcoming film on Marianne Faithfull.
Bohemian Rhapsody and Sing Street star Lucy Boynton has been connected to the lead role of Marianne Faithfull in a new biopic of the beloved English singer. Most recently, Boynton can be seen in the Netflix series The Politician. Today, US entertainment trade website Deadline, quoting sources yet to be named, has reported that Boynton could land both the lead acting role as well as executive producer for a film on the iconic singer Marianne Faithfull.
Initially thought to be a one-hit-wonder with 'As Tears Go By' in the 1960's, Faithfull triumphantly returned to music with her cult classic record Broken English in 1979. She lived in an incredibly interesting life, surrounding herself in the same circle as The Rolling Stones, and even dating Mick Jagger. She had many complications with her health. In addition to her prolific music career, she's also acted in numerous television shows and films. Most recently, Faithfull released her record Negative Capability last year.
Sounds like all of this would make for a great movie! Production on the forthcoming film is set to begin next summer.
