Loko Parentis release sixth and final video from their latest album
The indie band have released the music video for ‘Blue Moon Sunshine Child’, their last video from Dream Longer Than You Sleep.
‘Blue Moon Sunshine Child’ is the latest music video released by Dublin-based indie outfit, Loko Parentis, taken off their new compilation album Dream Longer Than You Sleep, which ended the band's nearly 15-year hiatus.
‘Blue Moon Sunshine Child’ is the last of six videos to be released to tie-in with the album made up of tracks from their first two albums originally recorded in 2009 and 2010.
The band previously released videos for ‘The Other Side of Fear’, ‘Remember To Breathe’, ‘How Are You, Human?’, and ‘Dream Revolution’.
The video for ‘Blue Moon Sunshine Child’ depicts a compilation of moments ranging from children running through leaves barefoot, to people doing yoga on a beach, to musicians playing in front of multi-coloured lights on stage.
The album cover of Dream Longer Than You Sleep features professional footballer, Emma Starr, in what is believed to be the first album cover featuring a professional female footballer.
Starr, from Philadelphia, USA, was a Women’s National League and Cup double-winner with Dublin’s Shelbourne FC in season 2022.
She now plays in Australia and scored the winning goal in the Grand Final in October 2023 and was selected in the Team of the Year in November 2023.
Loko Parentis, founded by Paul O’Mahony, began as a studio project in Cork in 1981 and featured members of Nun Attax and Cork’s first punk band, Berserk.
The line-up on the new compilation album and videos features Paul O’Mahony with ex-members of The Gurriers, Las Vegas Basement, The Cherries, Estel and The Evil Kneivals.
