Listen: (Sandy) Alex G releases new instrumental track 'Rosebush'
The quiet release was uploaded to the musician's personal YouTube yesterday.
Philadelphia singer-songwriter (Sandy) Alex G has released a predominately instrumental track called 'rosebush', amid self-isolation.
The track is accompanied by a short story about a rosebush, three cats and a woman named Joanna. “In a dream, black flowers grew around her bed. She picked one and held it close to her face, twirling it by the stem. What a wonderful mess, she thought. How did these blossoms get here overnight?”, goes the first paragraph.
Longtime Alex G collaboraters John Haywood on bass, Molly Germer on violin and a saxophone solo courtesy of David Allen Scoli.
