Listen: Bruce Springsteen open up about depression, dads and The Donald
Bruce Springsteen talked with Marc Maron on his podcast "WTF", following the release of his memoir Born To Run last September.
Both being from New Jersey, the pair discussed a wide range of issues which encompassed Springsteen's childhood and his views on Trump's election.
Beginning with an in-depth look at how depression affected the relationship between Springsteen and his father, the interview moves on to talk about the mid-life impasse that led to Springsteen's dark, uncompromising album Nebraska. Springsteen also has no kind words to say of President-Elect Donald Trump, calling him "unamerican".
Previous guests on “WTF” include Kamasi Washington, Joanna Newsom, Yo La Tengo, Steve Albini, David Byrne, the Thermals’ Hutch Harris (who discussed Springsteen), and more.
