Lisa Hannigan & Pixie Geldof lead the Other Voices 2016 charge
The first batch of acts have been announced for the eir Other Voices series of intimate gigs which return to St. James’ Church in Dingle from December 2-4.
With Lisa Hannigan, Rejjie Snow, Margaret Glaspy, Pixie Geldof, Girl Band and Kojey Radical among them, it’s shaping up to be quite the pre-Christmas knees-up.
Disappointingly shunted round the schedules last year by RTÉ, Other Voices is a big favourite with artists who love the intimate nature of both the venue and the corner of Kerry it occupies.
Footage of Amy Winehouse performing there in 2006 graced the Oscar-winning Amy documentary.
