Leya sign to Rubyworks
With a new label deal and upcoming live dates, Belfast-based Leya are shifting things up a gear
Fresh from snapping up blues/jazz guitar picker Nigel Mooney, Dublin independent Rubyworks have signed “skyscraping panoramic rock architects” Leya to a three-album deal.
Operating out of Belfast, the quartet are managed by the same UK company, Terra Firma, who look after Lemon Jelly, Paul Oakenfold and Richard Ashcroft.
You can see and hear what all the fuss is about next month when the band play support to Embrace at the Ulster Hall, Belfast (April 19) and Olympia, Dublin (20).

Release-wise, expect an EP in the late spring followed by an album in the summer.
