Kodaline are set to headline Jameson Bow St. Sessions @ The Academy in Dublin on March 16, and they'll be supported by the No.1 best-selling Walking On Cars, Little Hours and Canadian rockers July Talk
Kodaline are the headline act at this year’s Bow St. Sessions gig, which takes place on Wednesday March 16th. Support on the event, which is presented by Jameson, will be provided by two leading lights of Irish music, Walking On Cars and Little Hours.
Following two No.1 albums, a catalogue bulging with hit singles, and an army of fans big enough to put most football clubs to shame, Kodaline are undoubtedly the biggest band to emerge from Ireland in recent years. In what is a very special occasion, Jameson Bow St. Sessions are giving fans the chance to secure complimentary tickets to see the global superstars up close and personal, on their hometurf in the intimate surrounds of The Academy in Dublin.
With a massive Marlay Park headliner already planned for Dublin this July, Kodaline will touch down in their hometown towards the end of their mammoth European tour, to perform an intimate Irish show at Bow St. Sessions at The Academy on March 16th. The venue will be completely transformed for this sensational homecoming gig, promising to give the crowd the chance to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, the Jameson way.
Also taking to the stage on the night will be another of Ireland’s most exciting acts, the chart-topping Walking On Cars. The Dingle natives have firmly established themselves as a fiercely popular live act, both in Ireland and the UK, selling out venues from The Olympia Theatre in Dublin to The Electric Ballroom in London. Their long-awaited debut album, Everything This Way has just shot past the likes of Adele and David Bowie to claim the No. 1 spot in the Irish charts – confirmation that the quintet belongs at the top table of Irish music.

Joining the Bow St. Sessions lineup alongside Kodaline and Walking on Cars are Choice Prize nominees, Little Hours, whose first ever show was an appearance at Electric Picnic! With a potent blend of piano and guitar, not to mention beautiful harmonies – and their debut single ‘It's Still Love?' storming the airwaves – it wasn’t long before the Donegal duo put the sold-out signs to work at venues all over the country. 2016 will see a busy schedule of writing and recording for Little Hours, ahead of the release of their much-anticipated debut album.
Adding an international flavour to the St. Patrick’s Day festivities will be the energetic and enigmatic July Talk. Flying in from their hometown of Toronto for this very special show, their unique take on everything – from Americana and country to indie-disco and all-out rock'n'roll – is set to win the hearts of lucky ticket-winners!
Bow St. Sessions – itself a collaboration between Hot Press and Jameson – is a unique series of live performances, celebrating unexpected and original collaborations in Irish music.
