Hiphop trio Kneecap are set to release their new single 'Liars Tale' on Wednesday, January 28. The premiere is planned for Jack Saunder's BBC Radio 1 New Music Show.
They have announced the release on Instagram, alongside their AVA festival headline show in Belfast this May. The pre-sale for the festival will open on Thursday, January 29 at 10am.
The Belfast group teased their upcoming album on social media earlier this month, promising the new year would have "big things" in store. In the summer of 2026, they will also perform at the Reading and Leeds festival, Primavera, and All Together Now. More information about the album will come out soon.
Kneecap released their sophomore album Fine Art in June of 2024, followed by their self-titled, critically acclaimed film in August. The film won them a British Independent Film Award for Best Original Music and got shortlisted by the Oscar's for Best Original Song. In 2025, they also shared their latest singles 'Sayonara' and 'No Comment' featuring Sub Focus.
Earlier this month, the group played their first major gigs in Japan, performing at the Rockin' On Sonic festival, as well as a show in Tokyo.
