KNEECAP have invited the public to a 10k run in Dublin, in aid of the Gaza Food & Play Project, which delivers food parcels and circus workshops to displaced families in Gaza.
The event will take place at Dalymount Park St Peter's Road Entrance on Wednesday, December 17 at 1 p.m. and will go to the Áras and back. Fans are encouraged to run all or part of the route.
"So far we’ve delivered 1,812 food parcels across the Gaza Strip and organised 20 circus and arts activities for over 5,000 children taking shelter in camps," said ACLAÍ Palestine, who have organised the Gaza Food & Play Project in partnership with Gaza Stars Circus School and the Beit Lahia Development Association, via an Instagram post.
At the time of writing, the project has raised over £27,660 (about €31,580) on their online fundraiser, which can be found here.
The news follows band member Móglaí Bap's announcement earlier this month that he would run 10km in each city of the band's November tour to raise funds for Palestine.
November saw the rap trio perform in Paris, Amsterdam, Brighton, Liverpool, Cardiff, Bristol, Leeds, Newcastle and Sheffield. They are set to play Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow in the coming days.
KNEECAP will perform in Ireland next month, with shows in Killarney on December 12 and 13, and two sold-out gigs in Dublin on December 16 and 17.
Last week, the group released their new single 'No Comment' featuring Sub Focus.
