KNEECAP feature on Dungeon & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves album
Book Of The Bard, an album inspired by Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, was released today
Irish acts KNEECAP and Róisín Seoighe feature on award-winning Scottish composer Lorne Balfe's new album Book Of The Bard (Music Inspired by Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves).
Released today, the project is a companion album to the big-budget film, which was released earlier this year, and stars Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Hugh Grant and more.
Lorne Balfe – who has composed music for several major movies, TV series, and video games – scored the film.
In an interview with RadioTimes.com last year, Balfe spoke about his work on the film and the accompanying album.
"One of the fun things has been writing tavern songs," he said – noting that he would be including "the type of music you listen to whilst you eat a potato [in a tavern]."
"[We're] writing the score but then also writing more which doesn't feature in the film, so we're going to do an extra album, which is going to be music to play with," he added. "It's for gaming sessions, and it's for those when they’re gaming to be able to have their own soundtrack when playing."

KNEECAP and Róisín Seoighe appear on the album's final track, 'I measc na laochra (Amongst the Warriors)'.
