Kingfishr on course for Top 5 debut on UK Albums Chart with Halcyon
The folk three-piece are set to play the main stage at Electric Picnic this weekend
Kingfishr are on course to debut on the UK Album Charts this Friday, with Halcyon coming in at number #5 on the midweek charts.
The folk three piece are in good company. Alongside them is Wolf Alice at #1 with The Clearing, k-pop band Stray Kids with Karma at #2, Laufey with A Matter of Time at #3 and Deftones with their third UK top 5 album, private music.
Kingfishr released their debut album on Friday, with three singles also reaching the Irish charts including 'Killeagh.'
The limerick trio are set to headline the main stage at Electric Picnic this Friday, as well as two dates at Dublin's 3Arena in December, with one of them already sold-out.
Their upcoming Halcyon tour sees them play a string of dates across the UK and Europe, as well as an acoustic tour across Irish and UK record shops.
The band's LP Live from Dublin also reached the top 5 on the Official Irish Albums Charts last year.
