Kingfishr and Madra Salach announced for Later... With Jools Holland

Kingfishr and Madra Salach have been announced as guests for the new season of Later...With Jools Holland.

It will be both groups first time appearing on the show. Details on the episodes that they feature in have not been revealed, though more information is expected soon.

The first episode of the new series will air on BBC Two on Sunday, October 11. The programme will feature live performances and interviews, and is filmed at the Alexandra Palace Theatre in London.

Kingfishr released their latest single 'How Lonely' on September 25. The Irish folk band are going on a European tour in November, with shows in Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands.

In summer 2027, they will embark on a UK and Ireland tour, with shows in Warrington, Belfast, and Limerick. The trio will also play a gig in Marlay Park, Dublin on June 19.

Madra Salach begin their UK tour on September 30, including stops in Cardiff, Liverpool, Manchester, and London. Following this, the band have a run of shows in North America in November, with dates in Cambridge, Philadelphia, New York, and Ontario.

The Island Records-signed band return to Ireland in December, before jumping straight into a run of Irish shows, including a date in Vicar Street on December 10. All dates for the UK and Ireland tour are sold out.

The first episode of the new season of Later...With Jools Holland will feature Paul Heaton, who will perform material from his first UK No. 1 album Jenius. Johnny Marr will join Holland for an interview about his new solo record The Age of Everything, which comes out this Friday, October 2.

Other musicians making their debut on the show include Skye Newman, Mary in the Junkyard, DC3 , and Dermot Henry.
