Dublin alt-rap newcomer Abdu Huss, AKA KhakiKid, has released a raucous live version of 'Shlumped Up' as part of his new video series 'Live In The Jacks'.
Having amassed over 2.2 million streams on Spotify since the single's release in August of 2021, the magnetic live version features the artist's full band plus some extras. The first of the artist's new series was filmed in The Workmans Cellar, Dublin.
KhakiKid is on a hot streak, having just released his debut EP Elevator Music in September, the artist has announced a headline show in Whelans Main Room on November 11. Tickets for which are on sale now - here.
Featuring previous singles ‘Woodstock’, ‘Sports & Tattoos’ and ‘Shlumped Up’, Elevator Music cements KhakiKid as an undeniably fresh presence in the burgeoning Irish rap scene, his unique sound marking him as one of the most exciting new artists to watch in 2022.
Speaking about the EP, KhakiKid said: “I see Elevator Music as the opening Soundtrack to a movie that's being written in real time. I love the idea of listeners first stepping into the lift and not knowing what floor or world they’ll be taken to, because I’m in the exact same position as them.”
