Kendrick Lamar gets new manager, fans speculate that it means new music soon
Is a new album coming soon from the Compton rapper?
One of the biggest rappers in the world right now, Kendrick Lamar, has reportedly got a new business manager.
Rumours had surfaced that new music from Lamar might be on the way after he announced that his next album would be the final one on his longtime label Top Dawg Entertainment.
The music blog Hot New Hip Hop reported the news that the manager of Nas, Anthony Selah, has also been hired by the Compton rapper.
Fans had speculated that Kendrick Lamar's new album would be released over the last few months after news broke that he had registered new songs to ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers), a common practice for high-profile American musicians before releasing new music.
The artist behind acclaimed albums such as To Pimp A Butterfly and DAMN. will return to the live stage this weekend in Los Vegas at the Day N Vegas festival, where he will headline the opening night on Friday.
This year, Kendrick Lamar has already released some new songs, collaborating with Baby Keem on three songs on his debut album, including the single 'Family Ties'. The track's name is derived from the fact that the two artists are cousins.
