Kanye Pips Kodaline in UK Chart Race
Kanye is the king, as his Yeezus debuts at No. 1.
At one stage they were leading the race, but late surges by Kanye West and Black Sabbath at numbers one and two respectively means that Kodaline have had to settle for third position in the UK album chart with In A Perfect World.
It’s still a remarkable achievement for the Dubliners who were around 3,000 copies short of Kanye’s 25,000-plus tally.
The band are now working their way round the European festival circuit with Glastonbury coming up at the weekend and Irish stop-offs at Longitude, Dublin (July 20), Indiependence, Mitchelstown (August 2) and Tennent’s Vital, Belfast (15).
