JyellowL drops new single 'Tunnel Vision', announces release date for debut album 2020 D|Vision
JyellowL's debut LP '2020 D|Vision' will be released on November 20 via JyL Records Ltd.
Jamaican-Nigerian-Irish rapper JyellowL (full name Jean-Luc Uddoh) has dropped 'Tunnel Vision', the fourth single from his highly-anticipated debut album, entitled 2020 D|Vision.
The track follows his third single, 'Mademoiselle' and features long-time collaborator - producer Chris Kabs.
The socially conscious rap star's full LP has been over three years in the making and has faced numerous delays as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
JyellowL has a degree in politics from UCD, and his music explores the social problems that both intrigue and disturb him, from international conflict to economic inequality. He's unafraid to tackle tough subjects such as racism in his music. As protests erupted across the world, he spoke to a crowd of thousands at a Black Lives Matter protest in Dublin, envisioning a future Ireland that is radically inclusive and anti-racist.
The 21-year-old recently appeared in BBC Three's Rap Trip, speaking specifically about Ireland's rap scene and the influence of identity and immigration on the country's social and creative evolution.
