Juliette & The Licks put in a blinding performance on their first live date in Ireland - just ask her Dublin support band Angels Of Mons...
Dublin’s Voodoo Lounge was literally the hottest spot in town last night as Juliette Lewis led a storming rock 'n' roll show with her band The Licks.
Playing to a busting-at-the-seams full house, the Hollywood actress made a compelling performance as microphone-wielding rock demon, supported by a solid band and a convincing set of never before heard songs.
Pre-existing fame aside, not since supporting Dubliners Angels of Mons has there been such a buzz about a debut band - enough to sell out venues well before they release any material.
Pictured here canoodling with Ms. Lewis after the show, Angels Of Mons put in an equally strong and dynamic performance, making last night’s proceedings a rewarding double whammy for the punters that took a punt.

Juliette & The Licks travel to Galway next, where they will perform at Cuba on Tuesday, February 22, and then at Dolan's of Limerick the following night.
The band’s debut EP Like A Bolt Of Lightening is reviewed by Stuart Clark in the next issue of Hot Press, out Thursday.
As for Angels Of Mons, it’s a matter of weeks since the release of their Last of the Dead Empires album, and they’ve already bagged a nomination for Best New Act at this Wednesday’s Meteor Ireland Music Awards.
