Julien Baker announces date at Whelan's
The Tennessee acoustic-blues musician will be heading to Dublin this November.
Nearly a year after selling out London’s Union Chapel, Julien Baker will be heading to Whelans on November 9, as part of a world tour.
Baker has been recording new material in her native Memphis and is due to release her new album later this year. In addition to selections from 2015’s widely acclaimed Sprained Ankle and 2017’s Funeral Pyre 7”, fans can expect a hefty dose of new music on this run of dates.
The first half of 2017 has already seen Baker tour worldwide, with headline shows across North America, Australia and Europe, as well as support slots for Conor Oberst and The Decemberists.
Julien Baker’s latest 7” Funeral Pyre – her debut release for Matador Records – together with previously unreleased track B-side ‘Distant Solar Systems’, has recently earned critical acclaim from outlets across the board.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday, 19th July at 9am.
