Joshua Burnside announces new EP
His second album is expected later this year
Joshua Burnside has announced the release of his new EP All Round The Light Said.
The 5 track EP is set to be released on 29 June and features the lead single ‘A Man Of High Renown’. It will be his first release since his 2017 debut album EPHRATA.
Burnside, who is a multi-instrumentalist, plays most of the the instruments on the album but he is also joined by his brother Connor on drums/percussion, Clark Phillips on bass and Sarah Martin on trumpet.
The Co. Down native has had a very busy year so far. He was selected as one of Ireland’s representatives at the SXSW festival in Texas while he has also sold out two shows in London.
He is now about to embark on several tour dates which include three shows in Ireland. His only Irish festival appearance this summer will be at Knockanstockan in Wicklow.
If the rest of the EP is in a similar vein to ‘A Man Of High Renown’, then expect folk intwined with some traditional Irish music.
His sophomore album is due out later this year.
