Jenny Greene and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra plot 3Arena date
The dynamic pairing reunite next month
Having been one of the finest surprises at this year's Electric Picnic, Jenny Greene and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra are reuniting for what promises to be a 3Arena spectacular.
At the Stradbally weekender, classic dance hits of the 90s were given an overhaul, as the likes of 'Rhythm is a Dancer', 'Children', 'Not Over Yet', 'Everybody’s Free' and 'Insomnia' featured in a storming set – we can expect the same and more this time round.
“There was a totally genuine sense of excitement about what Jenny Greene and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra did at Electric Picnic,” Hot Press editor Niall Stokes said. “As a broadcaster and dance DJ, Jenny is a bit special – so to hear her team up with the orchestra to deliver a set of classic 90s dance tracks made a really powerful statement. It was emotional and at times very moving. In many ways, this is what the national broadcaster should be about: crossing boundaries and doing things that are innovative and challenging – so it is great to see that being taken to the next stage at 3 Arena."
The one-night-only special takes place on November 13; tickets, priced at €49.50, are on sale from Thursday.
