Jason Byrne's BBC sitcom to start filming
Father Figure is looking or audience members this summer.
Much loved stand-up Jason Byrne is taking his comedy to the small screen and could well be on his way to the big time. The Dublin comic has had his new sitcom, Father Figure, commissioned by BBC One.
Written by and starring Jason (as well as Pauline McLynn, Dermot Crowley and Michael Smiley), the show will record at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood on Thursdays from June 13 until July 11. Each episode will be recorded twice; once in the afternoon and once in the evening.
