Jamie xx and Robyn release new single ‘Life’
The track is set to appear on the upcoming album In Waves.
Jamie xx has shared a new single from his new album In Waves. Titled ‘Life’, the track features Swedish pop star Robyn.
The forthcoming album, set for release on September 20, is Jamie xx’s follow up to his solo debut In Colour, which came out in 2015.
Speaking about ‘Life’, Jamie said: “I made this track pretty fast (for me) and I loved it from day one. When I first heard Robyn’s vocal it was at 6 a.m. after finishing playing at Pacha in Ibiza, it was the perfect moment.

“Robyn and I have spent time working together and hanging out for some years now, it’s always a joy and always inspiring, I’m so glad and grateful that she is a part of In Waves. Thank you, Robyn, for bringing this track to life!”
Robyn added, “I just want to see how ‘Life’ gets people dancing this summer. I can’t wait for that. Jamie is such a brilliant creator, I’m excited to be part of his album.”
As well as Robyn's appearance, In Waves features collaborations with Honey Dijon, The Avalanches, Kelsey Lu, John Glacier and Panda Bear, Oona Doherty and his The xx bandmates Romy and Oliver Sim.
The track marks Robyn’s second release this month, following a feature on the Charli XCX remix of ‘360’ with Yung Lean.
