James Taylor announces Irish tour date with his all-star band
The American Standard singer will be serenading Irish audiences in 2022.
The legendary James Taylor and his all-star band are set to hit Dublin's 3Arena on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. Tickets go on sale generally this Friday (July 16) at 9am and presale tickets will be available from Wednesday (July 14) at 9am.
Irish fans can get their tickets here.
Taylor released his 20th studio album, American Standard, in February of last year to great acclaim, with the album going on to win 'Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album' at the Grammys. The LP saw him team up with jazz guitarist John Pizzarelli to explore The Great American Songbook – covering songs from musicals like Oklahoma and Show Boat.
The artist made headlines last year when he told The Telegraph that he had encountered John Lennon's assassin, Mark David Chapman, the day before he carried out the terrible murder.
Taylor claimed that Chapman was "glistening with sweat” and “his eyes were darting all over the place", and that Chapman chillingly told him he was "going to show him [Lennon]" something.
