Jam-packed weekend of shows at the Thomas House with Shanda & the Howlers and Dälek
The Dublin alternative music bar will be hosting Shanda & the Howlers on Friday 19 July and Dälek on Saturday 20 July, both at 9pm.
This weekend, Dublin alternative music bar the Thomas House will be featuring headliners Shanda & the Howlers, an R&B revivalist band of Las Vegas on Friday, and hip-hop duo Dälek (pronounced die-a-lek) of New Jersey on Saturday.
Shanda & the Howlers, who has released two albums in the past three years, derive their R&B soul sound from inspirations such as Otis Redding, LaVern Baker, and James Brown. Their latest release, Hurt for Me, was made with WILD Records.
Tickets for the event will be sold at the door for €10. RSVP for the show here.
Dälek, comprised of rapper and producer MC Dälek and producer and live electronics Mike Manteca, will be headlining on Saturday.
In an interview about the duo’s latest work, MC Dälek said, “Endangered Philosophies is a very introspective record about very external forces. This isn't about one listen... it's about your evolving perception when you immerse yourself in the layers of sound and words.”
Tickets for Saturday’s show can be purchased here for €18 up until 6pm the day of.
