Jacob Alon shares cover of 'All Apologies' "inspired by Sinéad O'Connor's version"

Jacob Alon has shared their cover of Nirvana's 'All Apologies' recorded live from the Roundhouse in London - stating on social media that their rendition was "inspired by Sinéad O'Connor's version."

The cover comes ahead of their live album set to be digitally released August 14. Live From The Roundhouse will feature 13 tracks recorded at the artist's sold out London Roundhouse show from April.

Alon was shortlisted for the 2025 Mercury Prize with their album In Limerence and was named the BRITs' Critics' Choice Award winner earlier this year. They recently supported Lewis Capaldi at his Hyde Park concert and are set to play at All Together Now on July 31.

A filmed version of Alon's cover of 'All Apologies', shot on 16mm film by Peter Eason Daniels, will be released next month.

Sinéad O'Connor's version of 'All Apologies' featured on her 1994 album Universal Mother. Turning the song into an acoustic ballad, the cover was released just months after Cobain's death.
