Irish dance explored in new radio documentary
The Near 90.3FM six-parter will be presented by Aoife Nic Canna
Club fans will want to check out Folklore From The Dancefloor, a six-part series that makes its Near 90.3FM bow at 4.30pm on July 3.
Two years in the making, the documentary is presented by well-known Limerick DJ Aoife Nic Canna who in charting Irish dance history, north and south, has interviewed the likes of Terry Hooley, Greg Dowling, Tonie Walsh, Paul Tarpey, DJ Mek, Sian, Arveen, Cymera, award-winning writer Kevin Barry and Stuart Clark of this parish.
A launch party takes place on July 8 in The Bernard Shaw, Dublin with Mek, Dandelion, David Hales, Claire Maloney, Ian McGready and Ms. Nic Canna person-ing the 1s and 2s.
