Introducing the gothic charm of Choir Boy
After touring North America extensively this year, Choir Boy delivers a cinematic new single.
Choir Boy is a group to have on your radar. If you missed the boat on their gloriously nostalgic debut Passive With Desire back in 2016, now is the time to get acquainted. Reminiscent of 80's sophisti-pop and goth music, they conjure up feelings of longing and reflection at ease. The band takes their name from an insult vocalist Adam Klopp commonly endured during his teens. The phrase 'Choir Boy' seemed fitting in a way, given Klopp’s religious upbringing and angelic voice.
Now they're back with a single that finds them at their absolute strongest. 'Nites Like This' is dark and foreboding, yet heavenly and ethereal. The band's signature vintage drum machines and synths make their way into the track as well.
Klopp explains the cinematic song 'contemplates the impermanence of romantic love and is meant to simulate a dream in which you're dancing with your lover, but they are slowly pulled away by an invisible force.'

The group has toured extensively this year supporting Snail Mail and Ceremony. Now they're back in the studio prepping their forthcoming album. More details to come!
