Indie-rock band Beirut cancels August tour including two shows in Dublin
Frontman Zach Condon was diagnosed with acute laryngitis earlier this month, causing the band to cancel first their July dates and now their August dates as well.
The band was scheduled to perform in Ireland for the first time since they appeared at Forbidden Fruit in Dublin in 2012. Their two shows at Vicar Street on 26 and 27 August have been cancelled.
“Again, band and crew are very sad to announce this and wish Zach a speedy recovery,” reads a statement released by the band.
Zach received a diagnosis of acute laryngitis and has to further cancel the August European dates. Again, band and crew are very sad to announce this and wish Zach a speedy recovery. — Beirut (@bandBeirut) July 12, 2019
