Indie-pop artist Alfie Templeman returns with funky new single 'Shady'
17-year-old Alfie Templeman is set for a big 2021 after releasing numerous noteworthy indie pop tracks this year.
17-year-old Bedfordshire artist Alfie Templeman has shared his brand new single, 'Shady', alongside previously released track 'Forever Isn't Long Enough'.
The funky new single is out now on Chess Club, and was co-produced by Jungle's Tom McFarland - so it's no surprise that the guitar-centric pop track came out as groovy as it did.
'Shady' is "about trying to stay true to myself, doing what I wanna do in my life and trying to avoid all the arguments and shady people that come with it. No more negativity, more making sense of the past and enjoying what the present has to offer."
McFarland started collaborating with Templeman on ‘Shady’ as lockdown hit the UK, and was "humbled" that the rising indie artist was such a huge Jungle fan.
"Everything was very uncertain and weird but making music always helps you through those times. He’s a great kid with undeniable talent and I think this song really shows the world where he is heading artistically. I was very humbled that he wanted to work with me."
Jungle also began their career on the Chess Club label, so Templeman is headed for big things after releasing his brilliant Happiness in Liquid Form EP in July.
