IMRO announce showcase acts

Concerto For Constantine, Codes and Grand Pocket Orchestra are among the 46 promising Irish acts who take to the road this weekend as part of the 2008 IMRO Showcase Tour.

The 600 submitted demos waded through, IMRO have chosen the 46 acts who are taking part in this year’s Showcase Tour.
They are:
March 22 – Halves, Robotnik, The Dolldrums and Ventilin Pimps @ The Spirit Store, Dundalk
March 28 – Le Galaxie, Grand Pocket Orchestra, Betamax Format and Alphamono @ The Sugar Club
April 4 – Television Room, Crayonsmith, Alphastates, Codes and Sweet Jane @ The Sugar Club, Dublin
April 5 – Ian Whitty, Armoured Bear, Elk and Snowman @ Cyprus Avenue, Cork
April 9 – Panama Kings, Si Schroeder, Ed Zealous and Pocket Promise @ Katie Daly’s, Belfast
April 10 –Angel Pier, Deaf Animal Orchestra, Saviours Of Space and Travega @ Electric Avenue, Waterford
April 11 – Cap Pas Cap, Concerto For Constantine, New Amusement and Crimes Against @ The Sugar Club, Dublin
April 17 – The Kinetiks, Gorbachov, The Infomatics, Hot Sprockets and The Parks @ The Hub, Dublin
April 18 – Oliver Cole, The Brothers Movement, Hybrasil and Readers Wives @ The Sugar Club, Dublin
April 19 – The Disconnect 4, Mugger Dave, Declan De Barra and Pier Nineteen @ Roisin Dubh, Galway
