Hozier's 'Cherry Wine' will feature in new Zach Braff film
The Bray man goes from Letterman to Ellen to the silver screen as Zach Braff selects him alongside The Shins, Bon Iver, Coldplay and Cat Power for the soundtrack of his new movie.
Hozier's 'Cherry Wine' will feature on the soundtrack for Wish I Was Here, a new movie starring Zach Braff and Kate Hudson, set for UK release in September.
"It's just heartbreaking and beautiful - heartbreaking in the best way," said Zach Braff about picking the song, also noting that the tune had previously reduced a "pretty manish tough-guy dude" friend of his to tears.
The version of the song chosen by Braff is a live recording that predates the Wicklow singer-songwriter's US fame.
You can hear all of what Zach Braff had to say about Hozier and the rest of his sountrack picks on Entertainment Weekly.
Also check out the same live version of 'Cherry Wine' below, if you think you can keep it together.
