Hot For 2019 Irish Acts: Cat Turner

A few years ago, Turner had a bit of an epiphany whilst onstage at a festival. This prompted her to tear down everything she’d made thus far and rebuild from the ground up. This brave and ballsy gamble has paid off in spades, as ever since she returned from her period of re-writing and reflection, she’s been making the critics coo with her deliciously dark electronic offerings. The Galway-based producer/writer has drawn comparisons to alt-pop heavyweights Tove Lo and Grimes. Her inimitable vocal style adds a welcome grit.
