Hitchers' 20th Anniversary Party
Limerick’s indie-punk-rockers The Hitchers return to Dolans on December 28 for their annual Christmas reunion party which this year will have an added piquancy given that it wlll mark the band’s 20th anniversary.
The occasion will also celebrate the forthcoming release of The Hitchers’ first single in nearly a decade. Called 'Austin Cusack', it will be available at the show ahead of its full release on download and conventional CD through 4-3-3 Music on January 4, 2010.
Special guest on the night will be Jinx Lennon who's album Know Your Station Gouger Nation has been voted into the Top 250 Irish albums of all time as published in the Hot Press Annual. The albums were selected for Hot Press by a broad spectrum of Irish musicians, including The Edge, Shane MacGowan, Gary Lightbody, Eleanor McEvoy, Pierce Turner, Tim Wheeler and Luke Bloom.
Doc Martens and the Asylum Sneakers will also bring their bit to what should be one helluva party.
