Hey Paulette to release new album
The seminal Hey Paulette release their Long Ball Into Nowhere this month from beyond the grave.
Much loved by John Peel who summonsed them to BBC HQ for a session, the Dubliners were hailed as ‘next big things’ in the late ‘80s, but failed to turn critical plaudits into hard sales.
Since going their separate ways, the various band members have plied their trade with The Sewing Room, The Twigs, The Skips, The Deportees, $1,000 Wedding and Mexican Pets.
Soundwise, it’s classic C-86 with The Smiths, Wedding Present and Josef K among the obvious influences.
